What is Fitness ? how to start fitness journay.

The word fitness means a state of being physically fit, active, and well-conditioned. It is a combination of being strong or energetic, endurance, flexibility, and good health. Fitness is not just about weightlifting or running a marathon-it is a lifestyle balanced with physical activity, nutrition, and rest.

Fitness is the combination of some key components of endurance, namely, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, body composition, and balance/coordination. Collectively, these elements enhance the quality of overall health and strength and functionality. Such an approach would have the effect of training all components of fitness which contribute to a well-balanced fitness regime that helps in the enhancement of the quality of life over a lifetime.

1. Types of Fitness Activities

Aerobic exercise-aerobics is basically running, cycling, and swimming to improve heart rate and fitness.
Weightlifting, push-ups, squats, and exercises like these are designed to increase muscle strength.
Yoga, stretching regimes, and other methods to improve flexibility and buy range of motion.
Balance and stability exercises are activities such as Pilates and certain balance drills which develop body control.
High-intensity intervals alternatively include rounds or bursts of vigorous exercise with brief rest or very low-intensity exercise that can boost cardiorespiratory efficiency, strength, and fat reduction

2 . Why Fitness Matters

Fitness is more about feeling good and living a good life than about looking good. There are many of the physical, mental, and psychological benefits you can derive from constant workout and employment.

Physical health: Regular physical activity can prevent and control chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases, and obesity, build muscle and bone strength, improve flexibility, and enhance immune responses.
Mental well-being: During exercise, the brain releases endorphins, chemicals that diminish feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. Physical activity is also associated with improved cognitive function, sleep quality, and self-esteem.
Life expectancy: An active lifestyle is one of the best ways to help one live longer. Fitness will diminish the probability of dying early by decreasing the chances of chronic diseases.
Energy and wellbeing: Regular physical activity should boost your energy levels, uplift your mood, and provide motivation and productivity for daily living.


3 . Tips for Getting Started

Most of the suggestions to make fitness better for a beginner or to improve the existing routine include the following:

Start Slowly: For the beginners, avoid intense workouts. Be gradual in your approach, build endurance, and strength bit by bit

Set Realistic Goals: Set yourself some achievable fitness goals that will keep you motivated-be it running a particular distance, lifting specific weights, or completing a yoga pose-every time you achieve those goals it will keep you focused.

Change Things Up: Try something new to work on different aspects of fitness and avoid getting bored. A good mix includes cardio, strength training, and some flexibility training.

Listen to Your Body: Rest is as important as exercise itself. If one feels completely drained out, don’t push oneself just wait for a while so that the muscles can recover.

Stay Focussed: Regularity is the basis upon which one’s fitness level is achieved and maintained. Has an aim for consistent physical activity-whether, on a day-to-day basis or a few times a week.
